Ruth Nyanamah Gbatoe

Ruth Nyanamah Gbatoe has over six years’ experience in the Liberian media. She currently serves as a program assistant at the Center for Media Studies and Peace Building. Ruth Nyanamah Gbatoe holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications from the United Methodist University. Ruth is driven by a passion for promoting media rights, freedom of expression, accountability, digital activism, and the development of Liberian media. She is also a producer at the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) radio and champions the rights of children in the region. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Ruth intends to continue advocating for the safety of journalists by working with stakeholders to promote free media in a peaceful and democratic society.
