Saeed Jumah

Saeed Jumah has over eight years’ experience in the healthcare industry. Currently, Saeed Jumah is the CEO and medical director of The Smile Shop Dental Clinics, which focus on providing quality and affordable dental accessories and clinic services, including an alternative health care financing package, a dental savings plan, for individuals, families, and small organizations who have no health insurance. They also focus on improving dental health awareness and access to dental health care in northern Nigeria by organizing collaborative programming under their flagship community health initiative, The 100,000 Smiles Project. These programs include a weekly dental health educational radio program, school programs targeted at children, and rural dental outreach, which provides free dental care and distributes of modern dental accessories. Saeed holds a bachelor’s degree in Dental Surgery. He is driven by his passion for seeing people embrace more preventive health measures, have access to affordable healthcare, especially dental services, and enjoy improved standards of health service delivery. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Saeed plans to expand his network of dental clinics to more cities in Nigeria and adapt his innovative alternative health care financing program for rural and underserved populations.
