Salamatu Akor

Dr Salamatu Silvia Akor has four years’ experience in the community development sector thereby improving the standard of living among the less privileged teenagers and orphans. Currently, Salamatu is organizing an oral health awareness program which is scheduled to take place in the last quarter of this year, the aim of which is to reduce the incidence of preventable oral diseases. Salamatu Akor has Bachelors of Dental Surgery from the University of Maiduguri, Nigeria and is also a certified project manager with adequate computer skills. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Salamatu plans to return to Nigeria and continue her work on oral health awareness in order to reduce the incidence of preventable oral diseases and to improve the standard of living of the people in her community.
