Salamatu Hussaini Suleiman
Salamatu Hussaini Suleiman joined the Board of Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc. as an Independent Non-Executive Director on Wednesday 8th March 2017.
Salamatu Hussaini Suleiman, who is presently an Independent non-executive director of Stanbic IBTC Holdings Plc, is an experienced professional in corporate business development and an amazon in the Nigerian public sphere widely known for her advocacy for the education of the girl-child and women development.
Mrs. Suleiman obtained an LLB (Hons) degree from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Kaduna State, Nigeria in 1981 as well as an LLM (with Distinction in “Multinational Enterprise and the Law”) from the London School of Economics & Political Science in 1987.
Mrs. Suleiman was appointed Honourable Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Federal Republic of Nigeria in December 2008 and went on to become the Honourable Minister of State, Foreign Affairs Ministry, Federal Republic of Nigeria in 2010. In February 2012, Mrs. Suleiman was appointed Commissioner, Political Affairs, Peace and Security, ECOWAS Commission and completed her tenure at the end of April 2016.
