Saleem Soobader

Saleem Soobader has more than 25 years’ experience in the Petroleum Industry. He started out as a Trainee Process Controller on the PetroSA Offshore Production Facility, the FA Platform in 1992. His other roles at PetroSA include Operations at the ORCA Floating Platform and working as the Asset Manager in the Commercial Department.

He was responsible for setting up the PetroSA exploration operations in Sudan and Egypt. Between 2008 and 2010, Mr. Soobader relocated to Egypt where he continued to manage the Egypt and Sudan exploration operations. Upon his return to South Africa he has been involved in new business development and asset management. In 2015 he was appointed to the position of Exploration and Production Acting Regional Manager: South Africa

Saleem Soobader is currently the Acting Vice President: New Ventures Upstream, a position he has occupied from December 2018.
