Salma Abdulatif Yusuf

Salma Yusuf has over four years of experience in the civic leadership sector with a particular emphasis on youth mentorship, innovation, entrepreneurship, leadership, and talent nurturing. Currently, she is the president of the Motivational Talks for Youth organization, where she provides motivational forums in schools and institutions in Kenya. These are empowerment programs designed to break cultural norms and spearhead creativity and innovation. The organization is also involved in community development activities. Salma Abdulatif Yusuf is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business Management, with a specialization in maritime business, at Moi University. She is driven to progress the Africa rising narrative, so that Africa is on a pedestal, with good leaders, better systems, and stronger institutions. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Salma plans to continue empowering youth to pursue their dreams and stay focused on their purpose.
