Samuel Edgar Malala

Samuel Edgar Malala is the Lubricants Sales Manager for Petrolube Kenya, which is part of the FUCHS Group and is the exclusive licensee of FUCHS Oils in Kenya. He is in charge of the sales and marketing functions and is responsible for profitable business growth in a highly competitive lubricants market in Kenya. He has over ten years’ experience in lubricants across all functions from blending and manufacture, supply chain and logistics, sales and marketing to technical advice and training.In his free time, he trains and teaches informal sector mechanics, automotive repair specialists, and vehicle owners on lubricants. He covers topics such as product handling, correct applications, storage, oil waste disposal, and environmental concerns. Samuel Edgar Malala finds joy in seeing his trainees, especially the mechanics, apply their newly acquired knowledge in their jobs. He enjoys the results of happier and more satisfied clients, meaning greater profits for the mechanics. He holds a degree in Chemical and Process Engineering. After the Fellowship, Malala plans to continue training informal sector mechanics and vehicle owners and use the acquired skills, lessons and networks, in ensuring continued business growth for his employer plus developing his entrepreneurial network.
