Sibusiso Xaba

Sibusiso Xaba was appointed as Director-General in the Department of Arts and Culture in May 2011. He holds a degree in town and regional planning and has also completed public policy, development management, and executive management development programmes.

Sibusiso Xaba was head of the Gauteng Planning Commission in the Office of the Premier and has also served as Head of the Department for Economic Development.

He is a former Deputy Director-General for Economic and Development Planning at the Department of Finance and Economic Affairs, South Africa.

Prior to this role, Xaba served as chief director: Development Planning, as executive director: Urban Sector Network, as director: Land Development; and deputy director responsible for land development facilitation at the Department of Land Affairs.
