Sifaniso
Sifaniso is a solo artist who has been studying since the age of five. He is signed to Shammah Records- label in Johannesburg South Africa.
Sifaniso studied music at the DUT/University of Kwa-Zulu Natal where he majored in popular and jazz music. He has worked not only as asolo artist but works as a musical director which saw him co-create a show which brought 18 South African artists to Australia for a three week music tour. The tour (collaboration 4 Change) created national media exposure for the choir- including: performing at the MCG, being featured on The Today Show (watched by over half a million Australians each morning) and collaborating with Australian Rock band Evermore on a song titled “Lay your weapons down”.
He was musical director for the Prayer Day Event held in Durban and is currently the musical director of Emfuleni Missions Church where he has organised and directed several concerts. He held his own show collaborating with recording artist; SamSam in June 2009 at the Zulu Jazz Lounge. His current project within EMC is called Durban in Worship- a collaborative effort comprising of local Durban musicians from different churches coming together to praise God.
Sifaniso has worked with both well known and up and coming artists in South Africa by the likes of the late Lebo Mathosa, Hlengiwe Mhlaba, Andile Mseleku, Samkelisiwe Mnanjeye to name a few. He has appeared in productions such as the Hazlemere Dam Jazz Festival, Mid-mar Dam Jazz Festival, Ceel C Gospel Festival , Gospel Meets Jazz, FIFA World Cup welcoming concert in Durban City Hall, Laynch of Fame Celebrated, Kings Conference in Africa Gateway, ABSA stadium Prayer Day, Asiphephe Traffic Department Project, Immortal Gladness, Durban in Worship, Christmas Carol and Ziyakhipha Concert an event created by him and his friends.
