Silvana Virgilia Ferrao

Silvana Virgilia Ferrao has three years’ work experience in the environment/sustainability field. She is currently working as a Consultant for environmental and social issues at IMPACTO. This organization focuses on aspects related to environmental sustainability, socioeconomic development and community well-being with regards to major national development projects in sectors such as energy, oil and gas, mining, and transports. Silvana Virgilia Ferrao also volunteers in the fields of education, community well-being, and women empowerment through the Graca Machel Alumni Network. She hopes to improve Africa‘s connectivity and growth as well as to bring solutions to rural communities in terms of access to water, energy, healthcare, education and other key services. Upon completion of the Fellowship, Silvana expects to continue her work as a civic entrepreneur and continue to be an environmental social professional involved in development projects in Mozambique and around Africa.
