Simon Gouweloos

Simon Gouweloos is a Senior Transactor in the Africa Regions Real Estate Finance team within Corporate and Investment Banking for the Standard Bank of South Africa. Simon Gouweloos is an experienced real estate finance specialist with over 8 years of experience in the industry. Simon joined the Bank in 2010 on the Corporate and Investment Banking Graduate program where he rotated through the different areas of the Bank before joining the Real Estate Finance Risk team as a Credit Analyst. He spent 4 years managing real estate finance risk in the team in the South African portfolio, primarily in the listed sector with additional experience in the mid-tier and residential sectors. He then joined the Africa Regions Real Estate Finance Investment Banking team and has near on 5 years of experience in structuring real estate finance transactions across South, Central and East Africa. He is currently the team lead for South and Central Africa Real Estate. Simon graduated from the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal with a B Com in both Finance and Information systems and Technology; he also holds Honours Degrees in both Finance and Information Systems and Technology from the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal. Simon is also a CFA Charter holder.
