Sodiq Olajide Abiose

Sodiq Olajide Abiose is a civic technology entrepreneur who motivated to be a driving change in his country’s governance. He founded InfusionTech, an organization which seeks to make processes and interactions between government and citizens more effective through digital technology. He holds a degree in Food Technology but has chosen to focus on governance due to the effect poor governance has on the lives of Nigerians. He has applied his interest in technology to product design. At InfusionTech, Sodiq Olajide Abiose successfully launched a product that is currently in trial with a state government in Nigeria. The product is an open data revenue mobilization system that improves government service delivery. It aims to impact over a million citizens within the next year. Olajide advocates for sustainable development and currently serves as an executive assistant of projects at the Foundation for Leadership, Ethical Evolution, and Sustainable Development. He is driven to address Goal 16 of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, by focusing on reducing corruption and bribery and developing accountable and transparent institutions at all levels of government. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Olajide plans to scale up InfusionTech’s product offerings for governments by introducing new and efficient technologies, such as blockchain and machine learning into design and development considerations.
