Sonnie Ayere
Mr. Sonnie Ayere is a member of the Board of Directors at AIICO Insurance Plc. He is a motivated and goal oriented financial economist and investment banker with approximately 16 continuous years of solid Corporate and Structured Finance, Banking and Asset Management experience working with HSBC, NatWest Bank, Sumitomo Mitsui Bank of Montreal Nesbitt Burns in London and the International Finance Corporation (The World Bank Group) in Washington and South Africa.
Sonnie Ayere was a Principal adviser on the IFC team that advised the Nigerian Government on the development of the domestic bond market. He was also a key member of the SEC market structure committee. He has been a key speaker in numerous prestigious functions and seminars across Africa on diverse aspects of African and international financial markets. He has also advised and negotiated complex mandates for governments of key countries across sub-Saharan Africa and remains an adviser of several governments across the continent.
Mr. Ayere is currently the CEO of Dunn Loren Merrifield Limited which won the Best Investment Company in Nigeria at the 2014 World Finance Banking Awards. He was appointed Nigerian Mortgage Refinance Company (NMRC) Managing Director in December 2012.
