Stevie C started his musical career at the age of 14 with some school boy friend’s in Kimberley, the band was called “The Young Ones”. They were discovered by a local businessman who took them on the road and persuaded them to change their name to “CC Beat”. “CC Beat” became a hit success who traveled throughout South Africa

As “front man” for Dr Victor and the Rasta Rebels, Stevie decided to pursue his solo career and was signed by Gallo Records. Stevie released his debut solo album as “Stevie C” titled “Don’t Wanna Lose” in 1995, which was recorded in Los Angeles, USA. “Don’t Wanna Lose” was No 1 on various radio stations such as “5FM”, “Capital Radio” and “Radio Good Hope”.

While in the Northern Cape Province Stevie hosted his own radio show called “Back To Basics” on the local community radio station. The show was very popular and attracted many listeners within the Northern Cape area. Stevie also appeared on the “BIC CLICK PEN” commercial featuring himself, Mirriam Makeba and Ringo Mahlingosi.During his career Stevie has also been a guest on numerous television shows such as Selimatunzi, Two Way and Jam Alley.

Stevie’s music career spans 3 decades, and has earned his place as an entertainer of note from his many experiences on South African stages and abroad. Stevie has put together a small semi-live outfit simply named “Stevie C”, and has been performing at various private functions around the country, corporate events, the Casino/Resort circuit as well as various Night Club’s in Johannesburg. Stevie’s current repertoire consists of a broad range of musical genre’s and is comfortable performing for a wide variety of audiences. Stevie’s persona has also allowed him to be invited to do motivational speaking at schools, corporate events and on many occasions has been asked to be Master of Ceremony for many functions.

In recognition of Stevie’s experience, accomplishments and talent he has been recognized with the following honours:
