Sylvia Bosibori Makario (Sly)

Sylvia Bosibori Makario (Sly)’s experience spans the fields of geospatial engineering and space technology. Sylvia Bosibori Makario (Sly) has worked with the United Nations and other organizations with her key focus being the use of technology for change. Currently, she is co-founder and the management executive for Geowiz Services. Her major role is in business development through mentorship of the young geospatial professionals in the industry, growing their innovative business ideas. She also runs an online platform over which she shares up-to-date opportunities for students and other individuals in STEM. She has just completed her BSC in Geospatial Engineering and Space Technology from the University of Nairobi. She also holds a Diploma in Leadership from the Commonwealth’s DYLP. Upon completion of the Fellowship, she plans to use her acquired knowledge and networks to continue her work in technology development for social good, focusing on using geospatial technologies in economic development in Kenya and beyond.
