Tarik Sfendla is Head of Business Development, Decarbonisation Services at Wärtsilä Energy, a global leader in smart technologies and complete lifecycle solutions for energy markets with 76 GW of power plant capacity and 110 energy storage systems delivered to 180 countries around the world. 

As an energy transition expert, Tarik is passionate about developing energy markets and supporting the transition towards a 100% renewable energy future. Tarik has an extensive experience in originating and delivering energy projects across the globe. Today, he shares his experience in business development, market development and international project management with power utilities and large industrial companies to design, customize and execute decarbonisation roadmaps.

Tarik holds a MSc in Mechanical and Energetic Engineering from Université Claude Bernard – Lyon I. In addition, Tarik holds an Executive MBA degree in Energy Management from BI Norwegian Business School, UC Berkeley Haas and IFP School.
