Tats Nkonzo
Established in 1947, Edinburgh Festival Fringe is the largest arts festival in the world and Tats Nkonzo has been invited to perform his new one man comedy show during the month of August 2015. The new show is called, The African With Wi-fi.
In 2014, up against comedians from the United States of America and the United Kingdom, Tats Nkonzo was selected to compete in Switzerland where he took top honours. He won the Montreux Comedy Festival competition and was subsequently signed to be managed by one of Europe’s biggest comedy producers, Mick Perrin of Mick Perrin Worldwide.
Tats Nkonzo was approached by festival producers and given a theatre where he performed at the biggest arts festival in Zimbabwe the Harare International Festival of the Arts.
Tats Nkonzo was selected by Comedy Central to host his own show on the channel. The ratings for the programme were so high, he was asked to perform in a “Best of” recording alongside Barry Hilton and Chester Missing (Conrad Koch).
Tats Nkonzo has featured the major ensemble comedy shows around South Africa and regularly headlines clubs nationwide. Shows include: Bafunny Bafunny National Tour. Blacks Only. Comics’ Choice Awards.
