Tema Sebopedi
Tema Sebopedi is a vibrant and passionate South African actress who has been in a number of television programs and films since 2006. Tema Sebopedi is an AFDA graduate with a degree in Bachelor of Arts Honours in Motion picture performances. This award winning actress has played an array of characters, one being a bossy high school trend setter in “Pinky Pinky”, where she was awarded Best Actress at the Red Eye Film Festival 2006. Another being a naive Mozambican girl aspiring for greener pastures but gets trapped into human trafficking in “Escudo”, which she was also awarded for Best Actress at AFDA in 2005. Tema was also featured in South Africa’s very own thriller “Night Drive” where she played a refugee on the run from rhino poachers to only end up being butchered to death. Since 2010 to date Tema embodies the whimsical Lerato Tsotetsi who is an ambitious and powerful beauty therapist on one of South Africa’s soapies, Isidingo. She and her on screen partner were recently awarded for Outstanding Couple in a soap at the 1st Annual Royal Soapie Awards. When Tema is not on screen, she is lending her face and voice to help others by volunteering as a Sunday school teacher at Rhema Kids. Tema is also one of the Ambassadors of Peace Starts and contributes by lending her time as an SPCA volunteer.
