Terence Desmond Hughes

Terence Desmond Hughes has over 40 years’ experience in the construction industry, 18 of which were at Basil Read. Terence Desmond Hughes started his career at GT Hemingway Consulting Engineers – Cape, subsequently held various positions with ZMG Consulting Engineers – London (UK), Murray & Stewart – Cape, and LTA Building – Cape, before joining Basil Read Building – Cape in 1996. From 2004 until his retirement in 2014, he was managing director of the developments division, responsible for developing mixed-use, integrated new towns throughout South Africa.
