Thamiso Edinson Chabalala

Thamiso Chabalala is a qualified languages (English and Setswana) teacher and has, in his more than five years of teaching experience, taught in four secondary schools. In 2013, Thamiso quit teaching to pursue a career in politics. He is now a councilor for the Mafhikana ward in Kanye and is in his second year as deputy chairman for the Kanye Administrative Authority. Thamiso has offered free weekend tutorials to students in Kanye. In 2014, he was recognised by the Royal Commonwealth Society and is a British Royal Commonwealth fellow. Among other projects, he is currently fundraising for the construction of a guidance and counseling center at Tlhomo Secondary School.
