Themba Maseko

Mr Themba James Maseko has a BA LLB (Wits) an MBA (De Montfort University) and the Senior Executive Programme (SEP) from Wits Business School and Harvard Universities.

He was Director General in the departments of Public Works, Public Service and Administration and Gauteng Department of Education, Cabinet Spokesperson and CEO of the Government Communications and Information Services (GCIS). His private sector experience include Managing Director of Damelin Education Group and Educor.

He has served on the Boards of the International Marketing Council (IMC), Adopt a School Foundation, Centre for Public Service Innovation, Vista University Council and the Nelson Mandela Reception Committee. He was the General Secretary of the National Education Coordinating Committee (NECC), President of BSS and a Member of Parliament in 1994.

He is currently a Director at Ricopart Pty) Ltd, a private investment company.
