Themba Ndaba
Themba Ndaba, is a Multi Talented, Award Winning and World Nominated African Actor and Creative born in Johannesburg South Africa he grew up in the Kingdom of Swaziland where he finished his high school education.
Following his tertiary studies in Economics in Harare, he assisted with English literature at the Sibikwa Drama school based in Daveyton.
A natural creative, It was here that he developed interest in the arts and cultivated his writing and acting talent, performing major roles in the Internationally acclaimed ‘Kwela Bafana’ and ‘DET Boys High’ Productions which performed across Europe, Canada and bringing to light the true nature of 1950s apartheid South Africa.
The rare skills he acquired through his involvement in theatre finally saw him in mainstream television and movies 1989-2001 where Themba was also involved in the writing of a comedy series for SABC1, children’s programs and the inception of the award winning soapie Isidingo.
He later found himself using theatre to communicate in the mining sector and unpack specialized corporate change management in advent of the new South Africa and working with communications companies, this later on led him to establishing the Award Winning ‘Vutha Advertising which handled a few of the most sorted accounts within the SA government and corporate sector such as Petro SA, SA Rugby etc.
After the voluntary closure of the Ad Agency, in 2008, Themba slipped back to his first love acting and was immediately awarded roles in South Africa’s leading drama series, Soul City, Zone 14 and Hopeville where he was immediately nominated for Outstanding Actor in the Drama category at the Monte Carlo TV Festival in 2009 for his lead role as Amos Manyoni. Hopeville has since won the prestigious Rose D’Or Drama and Mini-Series Award in Switzerland and was also nominated for an Emmy award and won;

– Best Actor in Leading Role (Hopeville) – AMAA (African Movie Awards 2010) Nigeria
Themba has since his come back into acting 2009 starred in Africa’s leading dramas and telenovela such as The Road, Rockville and others. He is currently starring as ‘Brutus’ in the hit local drama series, The Queen on Mzansi Magic where has already been nominated for ‘Best Actor’ in the newly launched DStv Mazansi Viewers’ Choice Awards 2017(#DStvMVCA )
He is also, a Managing Creative Director at a Creative Agency, Visual Republic Media.
Themba Ndaba is married to Josey Ndaba and has two sons Lwandle and Sibusiso Ndaba.
