Themba Ndaba, is an Award winning African Actor born in Soweto, he grew up in Mbabane Swaziland. Following his tertiary studies in In Economics upon to his return to South Africa, he assisted with English literature in a drama school based in Daveyton that was mainly patronized by high school drop outs. Themba then found an interest in the arts and cultivated his writing and acting skills in which finally saw him in mainstream theatre and later into television and movies 1989-1996. In this time Themba was also involved in the story inception of the Isidingo and wrote a comedy series for SABC1 and children’s program. In 2002 Themba and a few liked minded individuals formed the award wining Vutha Advertising Agency one of the first leading black agencies, where he was Creative Director. Vutha handled a few of the most sorted accounts within the SA government and corporate sector such as Petro SA, SA Rugby etc. After the voluntary closure of the company; Themba Ndaba took some time and ventured into acting in SA’s leading drama series’, Soul City and Hopeville where he was nominated for Outstanding Actor in the Drama category at the Monte Carlo TV Festival in 2009 for his lead role as Amos Manyoni. Hopeville has since won the prestigious Rose D’Or Drama and Mini-Series Award in Switzerland and has nominated for an Emmy award. Themba Ndaba has been nominated and awarded best actor at the following Prestigious African Awards: Best Lead Actor (Hopeville) – South African Film & Television Awards (SAFTAS) 2010 South Africa Best Actor in Leading Role (Hopeville) – African Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) 2010 Nigeria Themba is currently starring as Brutus in the hit local sitcom The Queen. He is also, a Managing Creative Director at a Creative Agency, Visual Republic Media. Themba Ndaba is married to Josey Ndaba and has two sons Lwandle and Sibusiso Ndaba.
