Thierry Hugnin

Thierry Hugnin holds a Master’s Degree in Applied Finance from Paris IX-Dauphine University in France and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in England and Wales in 1993. Thierry Hugnin started his career in investment banking, in London later joining Blakeney Management, a London-based investment boutique, focusing on public and private equity in Africa and the Middle East. In this capacity, he participated in a number of private equity transactions notably Social Security Bank in Ghana and MSI, the mobile phone company which later became Celtel. Thierry later moved back to Mauritius and co-founded Kibo Capital Partners in 2007 with Jean-Pierre Dalais in a venture with CIEL Limited to pursue his belief that Africa offers attractive opportunities for private equity.He stayed in Kenya.
