Thiitu Waringa Karega
Thiitu Waringa Karegahas over nine years of experience in strategy, business development, customer excellence, and humanitarian disaster relief management as well as six years in entrepreneurship. Thiitu left a successful career in banking as a treasury operations management analyst to pursue her dream of starting her own business. She is the founder and CEO of Binti Naturals, an organic beauty brand that promotes healthy hair and skin solutions for both men and women. She is also a mentor with Akili Dada and a founding member of the Kiria-ini Women’s Financial Services, a village ‘bank’ that caters to women who are considered un-bankable by large financial institutions because of their relatively small incomes. Thiitu Waringa Karega holds a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from USIU Africa, a certificate in Project Management, and is a certified ACI treasury operations analyst. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Thiitu plans to continue to educate and empower women to embrace hair and skin health through better, less damaging practices. Stayed in Kenya.
