Thola Bennie

Thola Bennie is a Research Psychologist/Socio-behavioural Scientist with a focus on issues related to finding HIV prevention solutions for  young people. Her previous work includes HIV and alcohol prevention work in schools, HIV vaccine and microbicides clinical trials, and HPV in young women. Thola is currently working as project manager on various socio-behavioural studies mainly around PrEP uptake in young people.

Thola has an interest in finding interventions that not only address the needs of, but are also acceptable to the young people in the communities that are highly affected/infected by HIV/AIDS. She has therefore chosen this area as a focus of her PhD.
