Thulile Nkonyane
Thulile Nkonyane was appointed Chief of Logistics in 2000. He holds a BSc in Statistics and Financial Accounting from the University of Toronto and a Master’s degree in business leadership from the University of South Africa.
Thulile Nkonyane left South Africa in 1974 to join the Pan African Congress and was sent to Tanzania for military training. Lieutenant-General Nkonyane formally joined the Azania People’s Liberation Army in 1975 and received basic military training, officer training, leadership and general organisational management training in Tanzania, Libya, Uganda, China and Yugoslavia.
In 1976 he was appointed camp commander of the Itumbi military base in Tanzania and a year later was appointed director of intelligence. In 1983 he was redeployed to Canada where he functioned as logistics officer until 1994. Lieutenant- General Nkonyane has worked in various capacities within the financial reporting and management accounting environment.
