Timothy Okumu Mukenya
Timothy Okumu Mukenya has vast experience in both research and pharmaceuticals. Currently, Timothy is a research chemist working in collaboration with local universities, where he focuses on applying computation and simulation to carry out molecular modeling of biohazardous substances. He is an experienced Quality Control Analyst in the pharmaceutical industry, where he ascertained that drug formulations contained the right amount of active compounds to assure the safety of drug users. Timothy Okumu Mukenya has also worked in the geothermal energy generating company as a geochemist. He has involved himself in a series of publications about carcinogenic molecules and green energy. Timothy holds a B.Sc. in Analytical Chemistry with Computing and is driven a passion for community development through science-based interventions. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Timothy plans to continue with his research into molecular simulations to determine the behavior of cancer cells aimed at improving understanding and advocating for healthier living as a strategy to reduce cancer prevalence. He also seeks to create a robust network with other researchers to establish greener strategies for minimizing exposure to carcinogenic compounds. Stayed in Kenya.
