Tony Taylor
Luvuyo Tony Ndzimbomvu better known by his stage name Tony Taylor is a South African Rapper from Kwa-Zulu Natal Durban. He discovered his love for rapping and music during the late summer of 2005 at the tender age of 12. Tony Taylor is a stage name inspired by his love of the Converse All-Star brand, he was formerly known as Taylor whilst he was a member and founder of the Chuck Taylor MusiQ group he formed with his high school friends.
Tony Taylor is a recording artist(musician) in the genre of new age hip hop/rap and Trap. He is a self-taught songwriter, rapper and singer who was inspired by rap mogul Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson to also pursue a music career with his extreme love for hip hop. Since 2008 he has been working with a number of unsigned artists and local producers in pursuit of his dream, to become a Hip Hop Musician on the big screens. Tony Taylor strives to be a game changer with his distinct sound that embodies his character and he has also made major waves on the underground scene through his Tony-Taylor- Tuesdays campaign where he released freestyles and droped links of his music every Tuesday.
Tony Taylor has also been one of the names that pop up when mentioning upcoming hip hop acts of Durban this year. Having worked with the likes of Emtee, Gemini Major, Cool Prince,Sims(ATM),Lunatik, Neo Ndawo and other local artists he’s built relationships with in his music journey.He currectly has a single out titled “BRAND NEW”, FT.Cheese Manchild which is causing quite a stir in the music scene in SA.
His latest and soon to be released project is an MIXTAPE titled “LOOK WHAT YOU MADE ME DO” and he is currently wrapping it up in studio, featuring a few Durban and also upcoming artist from all over South Africa. Word from a source says it may be due to drop this Winter 2017.
