Tsepe Edwin Motumi

Tsepe Edwin Motumi was appointed to his current position in February 2010. He holds a Master’s of Management post-graduate degree in the field of public and development, and a Bachelor of Arts, both from the University of the Witwatersrand. He also has a BA (Hons) in Strategic Studies from the University of South Africa and is a senior research fellow from the Kings College London (University of London). Tsepe Edwin Motumi has completed a number of courses, including the senior international defence management course at the United States Naval Post-graduate School. Since joining the Department of Defence in 1996 he has served in various capacities, including that of director of human resources policy, chief director: Defence Policy, chief of policy and planning (deputy director-general), chief: Defence International Affairs (deputy directorgeneral) and acting Secretary for Defence from August 2008 to February 2010.

Motumi also lectures part-time at the University of the Witswatersrand Public and Development Management School and has authored a number of publications.
