Uchechukwu Udochukwu Anene-Nzelu has over 15 years of experience working with children in various capacities. Currently, Uche is a Resident Doctor at Lagos University Teaching Hospital, where she is undergoing training in Pediatrics. Uchechukwu Udochukwu Anene-Nzelue is involved in several volunteer organizations where she mentors children, teaches Sunday school classes, sets up blood donation drives for Ill children, and performs medical and social community outreaches. Uche had her primary medical training at the University of Nigeria and is currently doing a post-graduate program on nutrition with Boston University alongside her residency. She is driven to improve the health care of her country and is committed to ensuring quality affordable health care for every Nigerian child regardless of socioeconomic background. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Uche plans to continue her work in health care financing and developmental pediatrics. She hopes to get involved in health care policymaking in Nigeria to ensure proper health management in public health facilities. She wants to aid in curbing corruption and to promote child health care.
