Ugonna Francisca Nwigwe

Ugonna Nwigwe has over eight years of experience in the healthcare sector. Currently, Ugonna is a Principal Manager at the National Health Insurance Scheme, where she focuses on development of frameworks, methodologies, and tools for quality assurance systems in healthcare facilities and health maintenance organizations. Ugonna is a Doctor of Optometry with a master’s degree in Health Promotion and Public health from Brunel University, West London, United Kingdom. Ugonna Francisca Nwigwe is the founder of The Eye Place Limited, an eye clinic and optical boutique that offers comprehensive eye care services to people of all ages within Abuja and beyond. Ugonna is driven by her commitment to being part of the emerging revolution in the Nigerian healthcare system. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Ugonna plans to continue her work in the Nigerian healthcare sector, with a focus on equality and equity in health.
