Ukshay Venkataswami
Ukshay Venkataswami has over four years of experience in scientific research and quality assurance in the Pharmaceutical Industry. Ukshay Venkataswami is also a small sugarcane grower for a local Fairtrade certified cooperative company. Currently, Ukshay is the quality manager for Insight Research, a clinical research organization based in Mauritius, where he focuses on maintaining high-quality standards such as the Good Clinical Practices (GCP), ISO 9001, and regulatory requirement while conducting clinical trials. Ukshay holds a Master’s degree in Biotechnology and Enterprise from the University of Exeter where his main focuses were biotech startups and strategic innovation. Ukshay has also co-founded a digital company, Nurabytes Ltd, and one of his current projects is the development of an e-learning platform for local students. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Ukshay plans to continue his work in quality assurance management and to bring a positive change in Mauritius with his e-learning platform Stayed in Africa.
