Vincent Kumwenda

Vincent Kumwenda is Chief Executive Officer of mHub, Malawi’s first technology and innovation Hub. A social enterprise, mHub champions the development of local technology solutions. He manages a team of determined and passionate youths who nurture young innovators and emerging entrepreneurs with technical and business skills to create sustainable business solutions. Prior to becoming CEO of mHub, Vincent was the hub’s first Community Manager with a role of identifying and nurturing over 76 young innovators and entrepreneurs from all over the country. He has been the lead in the design and implementation of digital skills and entrepreneurship training programs for girls and youth at the hub. The hub has since equipped over 4000 youths with technology and entrepreneurship skills and developed over 30 innovations to solve various social challenges.Vincent is motivated by the need to use technology to solve social issues, organize and mobilize youths for change, and for economic development. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Vincent plans to be at the forefront in mobilizing young people in developing and using technology innovations to initiate change and enhance development.
