VINCENT MELLO

Vincent Mello is an IT professional with 18 years in the ICT industry and 15 years of management-level experience in IT strategy, IT governance, IT compliance, risk management, infrastructure and operations, IT audit, change management, project management, SAP basis & authorisation, database administration, SHEQ management, ICT policies, disaster recovery, business continuity, quality management system (ISO 9001), information security, ICT GRC member, cyber security programme and graduate programme. He is fascinated by the fourth industrial revolution developments and is a member of the Rand Water Provident Fund Board of Trustees (chair of the Investment Committee), IODSA, Public Audit Committee Forum, Institute of Ethics SA, and IITPSA.

Mello served in the Academic Advisory Board at TUT, is an online tutor at Unisa (discrete maths), completed the Ontological Coaching programme, provident fund training (act, ethics and investment) and mechanical maintenance – Pumping Station Maintenance in France (Limoges). He is the deputy president of the Youth in the East Rand District, TOC YCOM & Youth Leader, chairperson of the Skills Development Committee, chairperson in Sports, JP Morgan Captain, ad-hoc motivational speaker, ad-hoc master of ceremony and speaker at technological conferences. He is passionate about youth development and empowerment, running the Comrades Marathon (Bill Rowan medal winner) and a presenter (Dumelang Bana Kids show).

His academic qualifications include: master’s degree (M.IT-UP), AMP – Henley College, BSc (computer Science) – Wits, Project Management Professional (PMP-PMI), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM-ISACA), OCDBA-Oracle, ITIL-Exin and Certificate in Estate Agency-EAAB. Mello is currently a PhD student at Unisa and an ICF accredited executive/professional coach.
