Vishnu Kista Naicker

Mr Naicker joined Alexander Forbes in 2008 as Group Chief Risk Officer. He was later appointed Group Executive: Risk & Compliance before assuming his current role of Group Risk Officer and Managing Director of Group Shared Services.

Prior to joining Alexander Forbes, Mr Naicker spent a number of years with corporates such as Barlow World, Altech and Tongaat Hulett Group. In 1996 the KwaZulu-Natal provincial government appointed him deputy director-general: treasury. In 2004 he joined South African Airways as executive vice-president: risk, audit and compliance.

Mr Naicker is the chairperson of the Committee for Auditor Ethics for the Independent Regulatory Board for Auditors in South Africa and chairperson of the Cluster 1 Audit and Risk Committee for the Gauteng Provincial Government. He represents shareholder and company interests as a member of several local boards and others elsewhere in Africa.

Mr Naicker holds a BCom, a Higher Diploma in Tax and a Higher Diploma in Business Management.
