Vweta Chadwick

Vweta Chadwick is a human rights champion with over 10 years’ experience in working to advance the rights of women and girls. She is the programs director of Project ASHA, an NGO advancing the rights of women and girls in underserved communities across Africa. She, equally, doubles as the secretary of Carrington Youth Fellowship Alumni Network. Vweta believes and demonstrates, through her work that empowering women and girls is key to bringing positive change and sustainable development to communities. In her current role at Project ASHA, she designs and leads programs that makes her abiding determination a reality vis-à-vis empowering women and girls with education; digital literacy; entrepreneurship and, mentorship. With newly acquired skills from the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Vweta intends to initiate multi-stakeholder actions to ensure that every woman and girl has unhindered access to the internet and are able to lead a life as independent as possible.
