Wayne Godwin

As Head of East Africa & Indian Ocean and Senior Vice President of JLL’s  Hotels & Hospitality SSA, Wayne focuses on delivering strategic advisory services to local, regional, and global clients across Sub-Saharan Africa. Wayne has over 13 years of experience in the hospitality real estate industry. His broad range of experience includes hotel feasibility assignments, commercial due diligence for hospitality platforms and portfolios, hotel asset management and operator selection and management contract negotiations. Wayne joined the team at JLL in 2015, before which he was a Senior Consultant with a regional hotel and tourism consulting firm. Other previous roles include analyst at JSE listed Hospitality Property Fund and Consultant at hospitality and tourism advisory firms. Wayne has a BA in Tourism Development from the University of Johannesburg, a PDM from WITS Business School, and an MSc in Property Studies at the University of Cape Town.
