Xolisa Mgqubeni
Xolisa Mgqubeni holds a certificate in Marketing and Business Management obtained from VUT (Vaal University Of Technology).
Xolisa Mgqubeni is the Founder and CEO of Suit Luxe, a brand that originally specialised in bespoke suits and later on ventured into bespoke shoes, shirts and golfers. His story and journey is very inspirational, the love for fashion runs in his veins because his grandfather was a tailor running his operation in a small township named Khutsong situated in the West Rand. Xolisa decided to follow in his grandfather’s footsteps and grew his brand bigger to operate on a bigger scale of business. Xolisa started his brand back in University, he used to do alterations by hand, this was when he decided to offer his services to University graduates who couldn’t afford custom made suits. He would shop suits on their behalf and do handmade alterations to perfectly fit his clients, that’s how after graduating in 2017 he decided to fully focus on building his own suit brand. Today he managed to create job opportunities for his employees, a team of tailors, stylists and suit consultants and his brand is making waves. He has dressed some of South African well known stars, e.g Cassper Nyovest, Zakes Bantwini, Robert Marawa, Happy Jele, Boity Thulo, Nandi Madida and many more.
He recently went to Namibia as his first attempt to take the brand to the rest of Africa and that went exceptionally well as he will be dressing 18 weddings in Namibia this coming September.
He was also featured on Top Building.
He is going to be featured on the next Forbes Africa as he is part of the Forbes Africa Golf Tournament that is taking place in a few weeks.
Every year without fail, he goes back to his community high schools to pick a certain number of matric dance learners who come from disadvantaged backgrounds and donate suits and outfits so that they don’t feel left out.
He goes on to donate to the community NPOs
He also gets invited often to motivate high school learners from his community, this is mainly because they look up to him and need him to come and give hope to learners and be the proof that your background does not define you nor your future.
