Yollard Kachinda

Yollard Kachinda is the Director General of the National Pension Scheme Authority (NAPSA) and  Member of Board of Trustees of NAPSA Lusaka Trust Hospital staff pension scheme. He has Over 25 years’ experience with Zambeef’s biggest local shareholder, NAPSA, which holds 8.3 per cent of the Company. He is also a Member of the Remuneration and Succession Committee and Environmental and Social Committee.

He has a BSc (Ed) Mathematics and Statistics (University of Zambia); MSc in Social Protection Financing (Maastricht University, Netherlands).

Yollard Kachinda is  a highly experienced Social Protection expert, Mr Kachinda has built a highly successful career in Social Protection spanning over two decades, during which period he has made immense contributions to the growth of the pension industry in Zambia. He has over 26 years of experience in social security administration, research, actuarial work and has been behind some of the key innovations implemented by National Pension Scheme Authority to make pension administration more efficient.

Since he joined the pension industry, Mr Kachinda has served in various positions at different levels within NAPSA. Before his appointment as Director General he held the position of Director Contributions and Benefits.  Mr Kachinda also holds a Master of Science in Social Protection Financing from the University of Maastricht in the Netherlands. His leadership style and philosophy is that of inclusiveness, anchored on shared values, human dignity and accountability.
