Zethu Matsebula
Zethu Matsebula is a founding member of the Swaziland Youth Information Centre (SYIC), where she is responsible for strategic direction and operational management. She is a youth activist and feminist who is driven to empower Swazi youth. For the past three years, she has volunteered as the national coordinator and an executive council member of the Young African Leaders Forum (YALF), developing and managing the organization’s programs and cultivating a robust volunteer experience. During the last four years, Zethu also served as a peer mentor and educator with the Youth Action Movement (YAM), where she advocated for youth and adolescent sexual and reproductive health and rights. Zethu Matsebula believes strongly that women’s and youth empowerment can drive sustainable development. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Zethu is determined to apply her experience and knowledge to the work in which she is currently involved.
